An excerpt from the 2017 season-end concert with the University of Regina Orchestra. In this concert titled "Spring Symphony" Adrian created a musical narrative to celebrate the triumph of the light of spring over the winter darkness. The concert opened with a winter-like mood with "Nimrod" from Elgar's Enigma Variations, followed by a cry to battle against darkness with "Finlandia" by Sibelius, and ritual incantation to summon spring with Estampas Mexicanas by Jose Elizondo. The final celebration of spring featured Schumann's "Spring Symphony".
